Banner

The Banner creative type is a fixed-size ad unit that can be delivered like a conventional display banner. The key difference is that Cavai banners support conversational and interactive ad experiences — not just static images.

Preset sizes

When creating a banner, select from standard IAB sizes or enter custom dimensions:

Custom sizes

Enter any width and height for non-standard placements. Multiple custom sizes can be added.

Fullscreen

The Fullscreen format fills the entire viewport. It is a special banner variant that adapts to the device screen size rather than using fixed pixel dimensions.

Multi-format banners

Multiple sizes can be selected when creating a banner. This creates a master creative with child creatives for each size. All children share the same content and flow but can have per-format overrides for layout and sizing in the Visuals tab.

Content

Banners support all visual blocks and flow components:

  • Text, images, buttons, and graphic elements
  • Conversational flows with branching choices
  • Video, slider/carousel, and form blocks
  • Custom HTML and CSS

Content scrolls vertically when it exceeds the banner dimensions.

Delivery

Banner tags are generated from the Delivery tab. The tag includes the creative's fixed width and height as attributes, which ad servers use during their approval process.

TIP

Cavai banners work equally well for simple static display ads and complex multi-step conversations. You don't need to use conversational features if your campaign doesn't call for them.
